During 20 and 26 of May I was in Alexandria ( Egypt) for work...and it was also an astonishing experience.
Nothing , absolutly nothing, had prepared me to this rainbow of coulours,smells,feelings..Visiting Alexandria is an endless source of surprises.
first contact was at 8.00am, and the city seems never to be asleep ! Early morning cars, buses,taxis, people..are awake ans salty breeze from the med sea giving this special smels to the city.
Everything in Alex is big: roads,buildings, monuments, Montazah ( king's gardens)...one of my friends said that he would like to spend his entire live in the gardens, a place where the sea hugs the land surrounded by the parlmira.
Alex is also a cosmopolitan city, in which many architectural style are mixed: frensh,italian, english and islamic...
and as the sea's waves never stop,Alex is also continuous,tumultuous city...its people are funny, glamourous and kind...!
